Benefits Communications

An insurance company with several divisions changed its benefits plan. We created newsletters, posters, and other materials to explain the changes. We also used these communications tools to encourage employees to use the FSA, EAP, and disease management program – all of which result in cost savings and a more productive, healthy work force.

An OTC company changed its benefits plan and its carrier. Employees didn't understand the reason for the change. Based on the employee interviews and surveys we conducted, we created an audiotape, posters, bulletins, and payroll stuffers. Employee attitudes improved because the communications program conveyed the message that the company was concerned with and addressing employees' concerns. 

Other Types of Internal Communications

A major pharmaceutical company about to make a move to new headquarters found it was getting a negative reaction from employees. PLC developed a series of bulletins to inform employees about the logistics and the rationale for the move. We also created a "User's Guide" to acclimate employees to their new work space. Logistical information helped the move go more smoothly, eased employee dissatisfaction, and improved morale.
